For New York, plan on six to ten weeks. Our shop is in La Habra, on the other coast, so the presses travel by freight and the crew flies in the day before load-in. Freight and your building's load-in schedule set the calendar, not press time. A shorter date is still worth asking about, and we'll tell you straight whether the freight can make it.
Where the weeks go
- Six to ten weeks out: date held, venue confirmed, first art proof. For a Javits show this is also when the booth power order and your move-in window should get settled.
- About two weeks out: freight gets booked and packed. It's the last comfortable point to move the date.
- About a week out: art is final and the blank order locks, sized to your headcount across XS–4XL.
- The day before: the crew lands, meets the cases at the dock or the freight elevator, and gets ready to build.
Busy weeks in the city
When a big show is on at Javits Center, hotel rooms and dock slots across Manhattan get tight at the same time. If your date lands on one of those weeks, book earlier. A headcount that keeps moving slows a New York job more often than press availability does, so a firm number by the art deadline helps most. If you're planning a Javits booth months out, even better. Send your date and headcount and we'll confirm availability within 24 hours.
