Live Hat Bar & Patch Bar in NYC

Our live hat bar in NYC, also known as a custom patch bar, is a wall of caps, a spread of patches and a heat press. Guests pick a cap (trucker, snapback, dad hat or beanie, whichever blanks you choose), choose one of the patches made for your event, and watch the crew press it on.

It's the most photogenic station we run, and plenty of New York events are judged by what gets posted. We bring the caps, the patches (leather, PVC or embroidered), the press and the crew, and style the table to your brand.

What a New York hat bar includes

  • A cap wall: styles and colors picked for your crowd, shipped with the kit.
  • Custom patches: built from your logo or the event art.
  • A photo-ready table that works in a Midtown Manhattan ballroom or a Williamsburg & DUMBO warehouse.

The NYC hat bar circuit

During fashion week a hat bar fits a SoHo showroom, where guests style a cap to match the collection and the patch press becomes the thing people post. At Hudson Yards & Chelsea product launches and sponsor lounges, the cap wall doubles as a brand backdrop.

Beauty and wellness crowds at a Brooklyn Expo Center show in Greenpoint may prefer a hat to a tee, and music or streetwear activations in Williamsburg & DUMBO can use a curated cap selection as the whole draw. The footprint is small and the press runs off a standard circuit, so it loads into a Manhattan loft as easily as a ground-floor Brooklyn space. For an executive room, add live embroidery and stitch initials into the cap.

New York hat bar questions

Do you steam and shape felt hats too?
No. We run a cap and patch bar, with leather, PVC or embroidered patches pressed onto caps. Felt hats aren't part of it, so nothing gets steamed or shaped.

Will the hat bar fit in a SoHo loft with one freight elevator?
Usually, yes. The footprint is small and the press runs off a standard circuit. Book the freight elevator ahead, since many SoHo lofts share one, and send us the house rules so we can plan inside them.

Is a hat bar worth it at a Javits or Brooklyn Expo Center show?
At a maker, wellness or indie-brand show in Greenpoint, a hat bar can out-pull apparel. At Javits its power goes on the show's electrical order like any other station, so settle that along with your move-in window.
